Airlines Will Start From April 15
The government implemented a 21-day lockdown in the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Recently, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba said, the government had no plans to extend the lockdown period of 21 days. Following this announcement by the government, Indian Railways and private airline companies have started booking tickets after 15 April. Pradeep Sharma, PRO of Western Railway said- Indian Railways has started booking tickets for the train journey after April 14.
Tickets are available from April 15 in the IRCTC app and website. At the same time, airlines also availed tickets from April 15. Private airlines SpiceJet, IndiGo and GoAir are opening online booking systems for domestic travel from April 15.
However, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that after the lockdown we will analyze the situation before starting the flights. The government has granted special flights to countries like the US, UK and Germany to evacuate their citizens despite the country’s lockdown. Airindia has also expanded its services to countries such as Germany, the UK, and France to get back the Indians.
