BCCI President Sourav Ganguly About IPL Postponement

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has given his opinion on postponing the Indian Premier League ( IPL 2020 ). Ganguly has said that the tournament is currently postponed. The board president said, “The league is currently suspended. Everyone’s safety is our first priority. ‘

This postpone has gone official after the capital city of India Delhi government giving a statement of no sports events to be held in Delhi. The 13th season of the IPL has been scheduled to play from March 29,2020. However, It has currently postponed to April 15, 2020.

BCCI also cancelled the current ODI series between India and South Africa. Sourav Ganguly has been asked whether the IPL franchises were happy about the decision. He replied,” It’s Nobody’s choice.”

First BCCI said IPL will be played in front of empty crowds. Later they have postponed with considering the death tolls and spreading of novel coronavirus all over India.

Former Indian cricket player Gavaskar has also given his statement regarding IPL to be played in front of empty stands. He said,” Nobody liked to play in front of an empty stadium. Players also needed some energy to play.”
