Botsa Satyanarayana Shocking Comment On Amaravati
Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana made a shocking comment on Amaravati (Capital City) in front of media. Botsa said that Amaravati is not safe due to floods and huge funds are required to construct canals and bridges to prevent flooding in the capital region. Minister Botsa said that the government will soon discuss and take a final call on the Amaravati construction. He said the government will soon announce its policy. Botsa’s comments triggered fears among coastal people as there are already doubts about the government regarding shifting capital. Some sources say that Ministers’ comments are to divert the attention of people from floods in which the government is completely failed in managing floods.
TDP Chief and Former Cheif Minister Chandrababu Naidu slammed Botsa for making comments on Amaravati. He called it a man-made flood, Chandrababu alleged that YCP is conspiring against Amaravati and trying to change the capital citing flood threat. Naidu said Amaravati capital can be constructed at a very low cost as the land has been pooled from farmers with no cost. He said 8000 acres out of 33,000 acres is surplus land in the capital region.
Chandrababu has also inspected the flood-affected villages and met the farmers. While farmers were all tears with the loss incurred due to flood, Chandrababu said he would stand with the victims until justice was done.
AP BJP leader Lanka Dinakar also slammed minister Botsa’s comments and said Central Government has already released Rs 1500 Crore for the construction of AP capital. He said PM Narendra Modi himself had attended the inauguration of Amaravati and ensured a World-Class capital would be constructed for Andhra people.
