An online group allegedly involving teenage boys from Delhi schools casually talking about gangrape, sexual idiomatic expressions, and slut-shaming schoolgirls has set off a storm on social media. Delhi Police has filed cases linked to the Instagram group, which has now been deactivated. We can easily understand by watching these how rape culture grows in kids by watching society.
The allegations triggered outrage on social media with the top trending hashtag #BoysLockerRoom amassing thousands of posts on social media. As per the reports, a schoolboy from Delhi has been taken into custody by the police.
All-boys group chat has created from South Delhi with around 100 members. The group was made to send objectionable pictures of minor girls by morphing and using abusive language. The incident came to light when an Instagram user spoke about the screenshots of the group chat sent by someone from the group
The screenshot that has gone viral claimed that underage boys were planning gang rape. Messages promoting rape culture, like “We can rape her easily” and “I will come whenever you say”.

In a press statement on the matter, a Facebook spokesperson said, “We absolutely do not allow behavior that promotes sexual violence or exploits anyone, especially women and young people, and have actioned content violating our Community Standards as we were made aware of it. We have policies that disallow the sharing of non-consensual intimate imagery. As well as threats to share such imagery and we take this issue very seriously. Ensuring our community can express themselves in a safe and respectful way is our top priority.”
