Coronavirus traces found in non-potable Paris water city officials said on Sunday. The non-potable water is mainly used for cleaning purposes and other activities.
According to the report, the Paris water authority’s laboratory detected tiny amounts of the virus in some of the samples collected from around the capital and the network was immediately shut down as a precaution.
Drinking water is at no risk of contamination as the source is different from non-potable water. The city of Paris is consulting the regional health agency for a risk analysis before deciding how to proceed, as said by the authority.
Coronavirus traces found in non-potable Paris water which is used for cleaning is drawn from the Seine River. According to the reports, France has 152,894 positive cases. Out of these 36,578 people were recovered and 19,718 have died.
