The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) political activist Atishi Marlena, who is contesting Lok Sabha election as party’s star candidate from East Delhi, has filed a criminal case against her BJP opponent, star cricketer Gautam Gambhir, alleging that he has two voter cards in two separate segments in the New Delhi.
She is a member of the Political Affairs Committee of Aam Aadmi Party and has played a major role in transforming the government schools of New Delhi. She served as the Advisor to the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia. she played a key role in leading the Education reforms in Delhi. She famously worked for the Delhi government for an honorarium of One Rupee per Month, before she was removed in April 2018. Her Work led to the revival of the School Management Committee in Delhi.
Atishi alleged that Gautam Gambhir is a registered voter in Delhi’s Karol Bagh as well as in Rajinder Nagar, both of which comes under the same Central Delhi parliamentary seat.
“I have filed a criminal complaint against the BJP candidate from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir over his possession of two voter IDs in two separate constituencies of Delhi, Karol Bagh and Rajinder Nagar,” she tweeted in her Twitter Handle.

“Under Section 17, read with Section 31, false declaration in the matter of electoral rolls is punishable with jail time of up to one year,” Ms Atishi said in a series of tweets, with the hashtag #GambhirApradh.
Former Star opener Gautam Gambhir is not yet responded over the allegations by his rival Atishi Marlena.
