Nirmala Sitharaman’s Key Statements On Education Sector

The lockdown imposed by the corona has made key announcements on a number of issues to ensure that students do not have any difficulty in studying. she said that it would be given a huge boost to online education in the education sector.

Another 12 self-help channels will be set up for the education sector. A special channel for hearing-impaired students has been announced. These are in addition to the three existing education channels. Curriculum and online curriculum facilities for students, she said. She also said that 100 major universities would be granted automatic access to online courses for students.

Also, said arrangements would be made for mutual communication between students and teachers. It is announced that technology has to be made available for this purpose. she said that they would be teaching the children in the broadcast system along with community radios. There was a key announcement that there would be one channel for each class from 1st to 12th grade.

She also said psychological counseling classes have to be offered to keep people out of panic in the wake of the corona. Counseling will be provided for children, teachers, and families.
