Exclusive Elephant Hospital in Mathura:
First of its kind hospital exclusively for elephants was opened on the banks of River in Mathura.
Elephant hospital is wide across a 3.6 km range and is run by Wildlife SOS is a conservation non-profit in India, established in 1995 with the primary objective of rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife. Opened last week, the hospital is well equipped with superior technology such as wireless digital X-Ray, thermal imaging, and others. This hospital is home to 22 elephants and is now luring tourists.
They are worshipped by our ancestors. Elephants are part of our ancient culture especially in the south, they play a major role in rituals. And are used for transportation purposes at several tourist attraction spots. India has more than half of Asia’s elephant population but the numbers show, in the last five years their number fell from 29,000 to 27,000.
Laudable act by Wildife SOS.
