Gajendra Singh On Polavaram:
Modi led BJP Government in Centre made some shocking comments on the reverse tendering process on Polavaram project works which the decision was made by the current YCP government. Minister for Union Water Resources Gajendra Singh Shekhawat told Lok Sabha that AP’s action would trigger a further increase in overall costs of the project and it would cause further delays. Then it would not be possible to complete the Polavaram project in time.
TDP Guntur MP Galla Jayadev raised the question in Lok Sabha about Polavaram the Union Minister in reply said that the early completion of Polavaram is on the hands of current YCP government. The state government was given the approval to supervise the national project works to ensure its early completion as it was the dream of Andhra people.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also said that he was regretting to announce that the YCP government had removed the Navayuga Company which is carrying out the project works currently. As CM Jagan cancelled Navayuga and alleged that a lot of corruption was done in the past TDP government regime.
BJP government in the centre said that there were not such irregularities in the past. Center’s support for Polavaram in the current situation is in dilemma.
