Blow To KCR High Court Quashed New Secretariat

Telangana High Court quashed the resolution passed by Telangana Cabinet to build new Secretariat at Erramanzil. This was said to be a huge blow to Telangana CM KCR who is determined to construct the new Secretariat at any cost. High Court Quashed New Secretariat building proposal by Telangana Cabinet.

Professor PL Vishweswar moved the High Court to complain demolition of existing structures to build new Secretariat in Erramanzil will cost a bomb. Several other petitions including Nizam heirs were filed against the new Secretariat construction.

On June 18th, the TRS government‘s cabinet passed a unanimous resolution for the construction of new secretariat. The court further instructed the government not to demolish the Erramanzil bungalow.

Upon hearing the arguments of both the parties, High Court opined construction of new Secretariat leads to huge wastage of taxpayers money. Not only the resolution passed by state cabinet was dismissed, but the order was also issued restricting the government from demolishing existing structures in Erramanzil.
