Due to lockdown, International cricket is not happening anywhere at the moment. Despite this, the Indian cricket team has suffered a huge blow in ICC Rankings. In the latest Test Ranking released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Indian cricket team has lost its number one position and down to number three. Australia has stolen the number one position while Newzealand has occupied second place.
ICC Test Rankings:
India has lost the number one position for the first time since October 2016 and maintained the lead in the ICC World Test Championship. However, India lost its top spot in the ICC Test rankings to Australia on Friday. Now in the latest rankings, Team India is in the third position with 114 points. Australia has topped the rankings with 116 points while New Zealand has 115 points in second place.
ODI Rankings:
Coming to the ODI rankings India hasn’t got much damage but it has stayed in its position. India is currently at a second position beyond world cup winners England. While South Africa lost the most by eight points, slipping below Sri Lanka to sixth place. At the same time, New Zealand’s team remains in third place, just three points behind India.
T20 Ranking:
After the latest annual update by ICC, there were many changes in the T20 international team rankings. In these rankings also Australia got benefitted and has topped the T20 international rankings and topped for the first time. While Pakistan lost its first position and slipped beyond India to four. While India has gained one spot and is now sitting in the third position in the rankings.
