YS Jagan & KCR Greet Muslims On EID:
On the eve of Bakrid, both the chief ministers of Telugu states YS Jagan and KCR greeted all Muslim community on “Eid-ul-Adha”, and also known as “Bakrid”.
Muslim community gather’s at mosques across the country to offer prayers. Bakri Eid is marked by sacrificing an animal that is close to the devotees as they prove their devotion. Devotees then distribute the offering to family, friends, neighbours and also to the poor and the needy.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR conveyed his greetings to the Muslim community. “It’s a festival of sacrifice and reminds everyone to follow the noble teachings of the prophet Ibrahim about the spirit of sacrifice, compassion and tolerance for fellow human beings.”
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan also greeted Muslim brotherhood on Eid and said that Eid symbolises sacrifice, patience and harmony. “Greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Bakrid which is celebrated in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice.”
