Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Mahabubnagar Nagar sitting MP A.P. Jithender Reddy on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after he was rejected ticket from KCR for upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Upset with TRS high command, Jithender Reddy, who was the leader of the TRS in Lok Sabha, joined the BJP in the presence of party President Amit Shah in New Delhi. In 1999 Jithender Reddy was elected to Lok Sabha from Mahabubnagar on the BJP ticket. He later joined the TRS at time of separate Telangana agitation. In 2014, general elections after Telangana got separate statehood he was elected from Mahabubnagar from TRS ticket.
As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching ruling TRS party denied ticket for Jithender Reddy following the allegations that he did not cooperate with party cadre in recent 2018 assembly elections.
As we know DK Aruna firebrand of Congress party Campaign Committee Vice Chairman, former minister also joined BJP and contesting Lok Sabha from Mahabubnagar segment.
Jithender Reddy told to media that he will extend his full support to DK Aruna and ensure stupendous victory for DK Aruna from Mahabubnagar parliament segment as BJP candidate.
