Kaleswaram First Current Bill:
Telangana government prestigious project Kaleswaram is recently launched. CM KCR is preparing to spend crores of rupees for farmers. With the rainy conditions, the water lifting has not yet begun. Yet, as the world’s largest lift irrigation, electricity bills continue to rise.
The Kaleswaram project, dedicated to the Telangana farmers last month, began to receive electricity bills. The project started months later. Officials are using some pumps to lift the water. For this, the power department has already been alerted by the KCR and advised to look at the maintenance of large pumps without any problems. The government has also started raising the water for the last few days of the project. With the use of heavy motors to draw water out … the electricity bills are also getting heavy. In the first month alone, the Kannapalli Pumphouse current bill reached Rs 20 crore 64 lakhs. Traxco engineer says the old dues are up to Rs 8 crore.
Till now 5.7 TMC of water has been pumped to the Anaram Barrage. Being a huge lift irrigation project. Everyone is interested in how much the current bill for this has come up. Traxco engineers conduct meter reading every month on the 23rd. According to the reading, Kannapalli Pumphouse has consumed over 96 million units of electricity in the past month. As per the ERC, the bill for the current use of the lift irrigation scheme is calculated at Rs. 6 per unit.
This month, the Kannapalli current bill has reached Rs 12 crore 64 lakhs. Until June 24, the pumphouse had 14,15,000 units of electricity for testing, drier and veteran use. Including these arrears, the total bill reached Rs 20 crore 64 lakhs. The current connection to Kannapalli Pumphouse was given in December 2018. The motor capacity of this pumphouse is 40 MW. If the motor runs all day, it pumps 2300 cusecs of water.
