MP of Nandyal Lok Sabha and Jana Sena’s Party candidate from the Nandyal constituency SPY Reddy, 69, is no more and breathed his last on Tuesday night at CARE Hospitals Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. SPY Reddy was admitted at the hospital on April 3 for heart and kidney related issues. SPY Reddy died at 9.30 p.m.due to multi-organ failure.
SPY Reddy born on June 4, 1950, at Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh, he pursued Mechanical Engineering from NIT Warangal and served as a scientific officer at Bhaba Atomic Research Centre from 1974 to 1977. He was the founder of Nandi Group of Companies. In his political life, he was elected a member of Lok Sabha in 2004, 2009 and 2014.
SPY Reddy had won on YSRCP ticket in 2014 polls against the wave of Chandrababu and Narendra Modi. But he had joined TDP even before he sworn-in as MP in 2014. In 2019, TDP has fielded Mandra Shivanad Reddy from Nandyal parliamentary constituency. With this SPY Reddy had joined Janasena and contested on Janasena parliament ticket.
