Navayuga Approached High Court In Bandar Port Row
Navayuga approached High Court in Bandar Port row, Ruling YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh canceled the Bandar Port works for Navayuga Company which was allotted in the past by TDP government. The company challenged the YSRCP government’s decision in the AP High Court. The next hearing on the case is on September 12.
Navayuga Company’s lawyer urged the court to cancel the GO 66 issued by YS Jagan’s government regarding the cancellation of the port agreement. The Company argued that the government is giving misleading information that there’s no progress in the port works.
The lawyer also said that the government is itself responsible for delay in the works as it is not handing over all the lands as per the contract. Navayuga has given possession of only over 400 acres till now while another 4,500 acres are still to be handed over by the AP government. The company has so far spent Rs 436 Cr on the port project till now. The AP High Court could not take up hearing on Thursday as the advocates are on strike.
This is the second court case filed by Navayuga Group against the YSRCP government. The company already got interim stay orders issued against the YSRCP government’s cancellation of the Polavaram Project Hydel contract.
