Will Go To War If Needed Says Nepal Defense Minister

Nepal Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel lamented that Indian Army Chief MM Naravane has hurt the moods of Nepali Gurkhas and warns army chief. He said that the Nepali army had made many sacrifices for the protection of India.

The dispute between India and Nepal over Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura has been reported. Speaking at a recent video conference, Indian Army Chief MM Naravane said that Nepal has been a vocal advocate on behalf of someone else. Also, Nepal has favored the dragon as part of China’s cold war with India. He also criticized the Nepal Army not to rely on anyone else, if necessary.

Speaking on the issue, Eshwar Pokharel said on Monday, “The Indian Army chief has defamed the Nepali Gurkha Army sentiments that have sacrificed their lives to protect India.” It is now difficult for them to stand in front of the Gurkha forces. Similarly, when the time comes, Nepal’s army will be ready to respond.

The Nepal Army is always ready to fight in accordance with our Constitution and on the orders of the Government. He must play a role at crucial times. However, Ishwar Pokhrel made it clear that Nepal would prefer diplomatic talks to find a solution to the Kalapani dispute. Nepal warns Indian army chief.
