Non-Subsidised LPG Cooking Gas Is Cheaper From Today

Non-Subsidised LPG Is Cheaper:

Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)  cooking gas prices were reduced from Thursday i.e today, August 1. The reduction in the non-subsidised prices of LPG cylinders of 14.2 kilograms was of Rs. 61.5-62.5 per unit in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corporation(IOCL). With this effective price revision, the price of non-subsidised LPG in New Delhi been reduced to Rs. 163.00 per cylinder in two months. From today, the consumer will have to pay Rs. 574.50 for every cylinder (14.2 KG) of non-subsidised LPG, as against Rs. 637.00 in July, according to a statement by Indian Oil Corporation, non-subsidised LPG is cheaper from today which supplies the cooking gas under brand Indane.

Here are the LPG cylinder prices in the four metros with effect from August 1:

Currently, the Modi led BJP government subsidises 12 cylinders of 14.2 kilograms each per household in a year. For any additional purchases, the consumer has to bear the market price.
