Officer Suspended For Checking Modi’s Chopper:

Checking Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s chopper during the election campaign in Odisha lead to suspension of a poll officer by Election Commission in Sambhalpur Odisha. The poll officer Mohammed Mohsin had ordered to check Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s chopper. The suspension order came after Election Commission sent an inquiry team to Odisha. Mohammed Mohsin who was deputed as a special observer, according to the EC, has not acted in consent with the Election Commission’s instructions.

Chopper of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was checked after he arrived for an election meeting in Odisha for the BJP gathering in Odisha.”The Election Commission has considered the material available before it and prima facie finds it as a dereliction of duty,” is the EC order of suspension.

After the incident, the news went viral on social media that PM Modi’s chopper was checked by poll official Mohammed Mohsin netizens praised the daring act and also questioning how he can be suspended for doing his job sincerely.

EC has appointed Flying Squads to check vehicles of well-named leaders but the suspension of poll official raised several doubts that EC itself ordered its officials to check the leader’s vehicles.
