Chandrababu Naidu Made Payyavula Keshav As PAC Chairman

Payyavula Keshav As PAC Chairman:

Chandrababu Naidu has finalized Payyavula Keshav as the PAC (Public Accounts Committee) Chairman. This post is conventionally offered to the principal opposition party in the state. 

Atchannaidu, Gorantla Chowdary, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Anagani Satyaprasad, Gadde Rammohan Rao, and Ganababu have hoped to be picked up for the post. Even though Ganta was considered, Naidu finalized Keshav.

Opposition leader and TDP chief have discussed with the party leaders and picked Keshav for the post. Keshav has been loyal to the party and is sincere, honest leader. He lost as an MLA earlier when TDP was in power. Considering his services to party and people, Naidu has chosen Keshav for the job.

PAC chairman post is a crucial post which gives the right to question the government over the expenditure of public exchequer on various things. The post that traditionally goes to Opposition party has Cabinet Rank. Earlier when TDP was in ruling from 2014 to 2019, present finance minister of AP Buggana Rajendranath Reddy had served as the PAC chairman representing from YSRCP.

Payyavula Keshav is a fourth-time MLA. Besides Chandrababu and Balakrishna, he is the only leader to have won from Rayalaseema region on TDP ticket.
