PM Narendra Modi will address the nation on Tuesday as the lockdown deadline is going to finish tomorrow. The Prime Minister’s Official Twitter said that he would announce the key decision on the lockdown at 10 am tomorrow. At a video conference with chief ministers on Saturday, the majority of states have sought to extend the lockdown until April 30.
Already the Chief Ministers of Odisha, Punjab, Maharashtra and Telangana have decided to extend the lockdown in their respective states till April 30. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan also requested Modi to stop the lockdown in AP. Reports say that PM Modi will extend lockdown only in Red Zones and remaining areas will be opened according to the plans.
As of Monday morning, there were 9,152 corona positive cases registered in India and 308 people have died. While 856 people were recovered from the virus. Now, The total number of active cases is 7,987.
