Rahul Gandhi Promised 20% poorest families to get Rs 72,000 per Year: Congress Cheif Rahul Gandhi today announced a Marvellous income guarantee scheme which will assure India’s 20 %  poorest families get Rs 72,000 per Year.

Rahul Gandhi said the scheme that he referred to as the “final assault on poverty” will cover five crore families and benefit nearly 25 crore people. Told the media after the Congress Working Committee meeting.This assurance from Rahul before the 2019 general LS polls is a counter to the prime rival BJP.

“I want to tell the poor that the line would be Rs 12,000… The Congress party guarantees that 20 per cent of India’s poor would make at least Rs 72,000 annually,” Gandhi said the Congress party has consulted renowned economists and experts before finalising the scheme.

“It is most powerful, path-breaking and well-thought through an idea. “People have suffered in the last five years and we are going to give justice to them,” Rahul Gandhi added.
