Konda Vishweshwar Reddy filed his nomination for Lok Sabha candidate from Chevella constituency as Congress candidate. He was elected as Chevella MP in 2014 as TRS candidate.KV Reddy left TRS party before 2018 assembly elections and joined Congress party in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. Now he is contesting Loksabha from Chevella on Congress ticket.

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy declared family-owned assets worth Rs 895 crore in his election affidavit.  He is the richest politician in the Telugu States as per the declaration. Konda Vishweshwar Reddy owns movable assets of Rs 223 crore, His Wife and Apollo Hospitals Joint MD K Sangita Reddy owns Rs 613 crore movable assets. Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Sangita Reddy own immovable assets of Rs 36 crore and Rs 1.81 crore. In the election affidavit submitted in 2014, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy declared family assets of Rs 528 crore.

On the other hand, TDP Cheif AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu declared family assets worth Rs 574 crore and AP opposition leader and YCP Cheif YS Jaganmohan Reddy owned assets worth Rs 538 crore.
