BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Response on IPL 2020 Start

Coronavirus outbreak has stopped many events all over the world. People were feared by this dangerous virus as it has killed more than 4500 people all over the world. Now IPL 13th season future is in dilemma. Maharashtra govt objected to IPL launch on Sunday 27 March. This government requested the state’s health minister, Rajesh Tope, to suspend the tournament. As the first match has to be held in Mumbai all were doubted whether this tournament will start or not.

Now, In these concern situations, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly made some commanding statements about the IPL 2020. He has informed that IPL authorities will take appropriate measures to prevent Corona and the mega tournament will start on time.

The Maharashtra government’s objections raised serious questions about the future of the IPL. Because the first match of the tournament is supposed to be in Mumbai. However, the Indian board completely rejected the objection of the Maharashtra government. President Sourav Ganguly said the IPL will start on time.

All arrangements have been made to organize the tournament properly. The officials of the IPL Governing Council also discussed this with Sports Minister and Health Minister. A board head says the IPL authorities will abide by the guidelines issued by the government to prevent Corona. The guidelines have been sent to all the parties involved in the IPL. Also, Ganguly said, the spectators will be screened at the stadiums.
