Hero Suriya wife Jyothika acted in the film ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’. The film is directed by J. J. Fredrick and it has been produced by Surya under the banner of 2D entertainment. The movie is actually scheduled to release on 27 March 2020 in theaters. Due to lock down the movie release has been postponed.

Now, Suriya and Jyothika have decided to release the film on the OTT platform. However, Tamilnadu theater owners association has warned Surya saying his films will be banned in the state if the film will release on the OTT platform. Now, One more controversy is happening towards Surya and Jyothika.

Recently, Jyothika made some statements at an award function. She said hospitals and schools need to be developed in the state same as Temples. However, The statements have been changed and targeting the words of Jyothika. Now, His husband Suriya comes in support of Jyothika controversial comments and said,” Even if a tree wants to be left alone, the wind won’t let it be. My family fully stands with her opinion in the speech, which is inspired by the teachings of spiritual leaders. We wish to teach our children that humanity is more important than religion.”
