Pakistan has always tried to destabilize India. The agenda of the terrorists was to infiltrate into India through Jammu and Kashmir by establishing bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) and then wreaking havoc in many parts of the country. To this end, Lieutenant General Bhagavavalli Somasekhara of the Indian Army revealed interesting facts. Terrorist training camps and infiltration bases in POK have been revealed full of terrorists.
He said that infiltration across the Jammu and Kashmir border is likely to escalate. He said many terrorists had been killed in recent years. Also, there is an increase in the number of terrorists crossing the Pakistani border to replace their positions.
Colonel BS Raju explained that the 15 bases in POK were vulnerable to terrorists. Also, the terrorists were waiting to infiltrate into India with the help of the Pakistan Army. He, however, said that the peace process in Kashmir and the improved security situation in Kashmir not be digested by Pakistan.
