Tom and Jerry Director Gene Deitch No More

Gene Deitch, the director, and producer of legendary cartoon films Tom and Jerry, Popeye the Sailor, died at the age of 95. He has found dead in his apartment in Prague on 16 April and this news has confirmed by Czech Publisher Petr Himel on 18th April 2020.

Gene, who had made the world crazy about his cartoon characters, was first associated with the army in North America. He used to train pilots there and work as a draftsman for the army. But due to health problems, he was removed from the army in the year 1944.

Only then did he try his hand at animation and gave the world the Tom and Jerry. Gene did a lot of work in animation but he got fame for Cartoon film Tom and Jerry and Popeye The Sailor. He also received Oscar nomination four times for his excellent direction. Not only this, in the year 1967, He also got an Oscar award for the cartoon film Munro. Gene directed a total of 13 episodes in Tom and Jerry.

After knowing his death, Fans were feeling emotional and were commenting on social media that they will not see another legend like him.
