Truck Driver Fined Rs 2 Lakh
From September 1st, People of India are discussing a lot about the heavy fines imposed by traffic police for traffic violations. Currently, in Delhi, A Truck Driver Fined Rs 2 Lakh was creating sensation all over the Nation. It is said to have the highest penalty in India after the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 2019 came into effect across the country.
Going into the details, At the GT Karnal Road, A Challan of Rs 1.31 lakh was issued to a Truck Driver for overloading and other traffic violations. The owner of the Truck was fined Rs 69,500 citing various traffic violations. Overall, the fine went up to Rs 2,00,500. Recently, A Truck Owner in Rajasthan was fined Rs 1,41,000.
States such as Madhya Pradesh and Kerala decided not to implement the new Motor Vehicle Act brought by the Central government and Gujarat Government has reduced the fines by a huge margin. Other states are in the mood of reducing the fines citing severe criticism from the public.
