The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that Typhoon may hit Maharashtra and Gujarat 10 days after the cyclone Amfan hit Odisha and West Bengal. Due to the low-pressure area in the next 48 hours in the Arabian Sea, both coastal states are expected to hit the storm by June 3. The Meteorological Department in its daily bulletin reported that two storms are forming in the Arabian Sea.
One of these will move from the African coast towards Oman and Yemen while the other storm is getting ready near India. According to the department, a low-pressure area is coming up in the Southeast-East-Central region in the next 48 hours. Its intensity expected to increase in the coming two days. Moving towards the north-west, the storm will hit the coasts of Gujarat and northern Maharashtra by June 3.
Significantly, 10 days ago, the storm from the Bay of Bengal caused devastation in West Bengal and Odisha. Also, 86 people killed due to the cyclone. There are millions of people homeless right now.
