Vikram lander location was found by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). At last Chandrayaan 2 lander, Vikram on the lunar surface is founded. However, communication with it is still missing.
ISRO Cheif K Sivan informed media that the ISRO got the thermal image of Vikram on the lunar surface from the Chandrayaan Orbiter. “We are analyzing the data from the Orbiter,” K Sivan said.
India’s Chandrayaan 2 is World’s first attempt to launch a satellite on Moon’sSouth Pole. Vikram was supposed to have a safe landing on Moon’s south pole at about 1.53 AM on September 7 and the whole India including the whole world was watching the nail-biting moment. Just before three minutes before the expected landing 2.1 km from Moon’s surface, the communication was lost with Vikram lander.
ISRO is reviving the communication with Vikram the lander. The ISRO said that the mission is 95 percent successful and hopeful of reviving the lost communication with the lander.
