YS Jagan Uddanam
AP CM YS Jagan is on a spree of implementing welfare schemes, today YS Jagan laid the stone for kidney hospital in Uddanam during his visit to the kidney patients, Uddanam is an area in Srikakulam district, Jagan granted a 200-bed Super Speciality Hospital and a Kidney Research Centre to find out a permanent solution for kidney patients.
Jagan led the YSRCP government is going to release Rs 600 Cr to provide essential needs for Uddanam kidney patients. He held a meeting in Uddanam and said that he had listened to kidney patients appeals during his Padayatra and moved by their hardships.
The newly sanctioned hospital is being set up with all necessary facilities. Up to now, the main cause of raising kidney problems in Uddanam is not known. A Kidney Research Centre is also sanctioned to find the root cause of the spread of kidney ailment. For every 500 kidney patients, one health worker will be appointed. Clean drinking water will be supplied to the local people.
YS Jagan promised that free RTC bus passes will be given to kidney patients and their attendants. The government is already giving Rs. 10,000 pension to each patient. Uddanam area people are facing acute Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a type of kidney disease in which there is a gradual loss of kidney function over a period of months to years.
Uddanam Kidney issue is over some portions of the Srikakulam district and covering Mandals of Ichchapuram, Kanchili, Kaviti, Sompeta, and Vajrapu Kotturu. The Government of India has set up a dialysis center in the region but it is not enough to meet the needs of patients.
